A Time of Transition
Hello Dear Readers,
So, I finally decided that the address for Tangri-Lá ought to also be Tangri-Lá. Blogger has made it quite easy to import/export existing blogs into other blog addresses. Which I did.
What they fail to mention - in case you're thinking of doing the same - is that they don't also bring in the comments that go with the posts. So, if you're a subscriber, I hope you re-subscribe over there. And if you want to leave comments (which I hope you do), please leave them there, even if you have to come back here to read what's already been written. This only applies to posts written before today.
I know. It's complicated. I apologize. But Tangri-Lá, as my life, is a work in progress, both in content and in design. I hope you find the journey worth the extra effort :-)

Farewell Fosterland
This went nothing like I had envisioned it would. All three babies I was entrusted to care for contracted feline leukemia. Two have been euthanized. The fate of the third - the tiniest of all - is uncertain. Kelly is ministering to her with far more medical knowledge and experience than I have.
The odds that this happened are astronomically slim. Another sibling, in someone else's care, also died of it. It doesn't make me feel any better.
Thus, my first fostering effort was also my last; I have to wait at least 2 years before my place is considered safe and germ-free enough for another attempt.
My suddenly raucous and tumbly little office is just as suddenly quiet and still. And I am very sad.

If You Don't Lead It...
... I won't do it.
It's as simple as that.
On occasion, I will be dancing with someone who knows my skill level, and they might try something fancy. Last night it was a simple gancho. But it was not led properly - or almost at all. I knew what he wanted me to do, but since he hadn't led it, I decided I was no longer going to cover up lack of clarity.
He tried again. Again, I moved with musicality but without the proper lead, I left out the gancho portion.
Three is a charm, and he finally figured out what I needed for him to get what he wanted. It was a wonderful gancho. He grinned.
My goal is to continue dancing with all my heart - and give my partner everything he leads, and nothing he doesn't.
